The centre is situated on an island in the northern adriatic, in
a pine forest, close to a beach and offers different activities,
hikes and projects. The centre has all necessary camping infrastructure
and sport fields for football, volleyball and table tennis.
The centre can also offer different Scouting activities: orienteering,
hiking, swimming, surfing, canoeing, rock climbing, scuba diving,
ecology, survival techniques, raft making, etc. The island is an
excellent starting point for hikes in the tourist city of Pula (a
3000 year old city), the National Parks of Plitvice and Brijuni,
museums, old towns and castles on the Istra peninsula, caves and
the Ucka mountain (1'400m).
Pula and its surroundings are rich in
Roman monuments (amphitheatre, Arch of Triumph, Augustus temple).
The centre also leads the ecology scout project "Scout Marine Watch"
as a EuroStep project. Pula is easily accessible by bus, train,
plane or boat.
Voluntary staff opportunities are available.
